It's a film worth watching for the beauty - attractiveness of the actress playing Hwang Jin Yi, great thing about costumes and placement. It's valuable for those interested in Korean culture and history.It is also good to find out the story on the famous courtesan. Anyway, other than its visual values the film doesn't offer a lot of. The love story presented there's not convincing whatsoever, actually, it even sounds a little illogical and thus didn't move me in any way. The story of these love was somehow neglected but not fully shown within the initial stage and at the end the director centered on it and was apparently working to make it touching and moving. The film appeared to have too many plot lines, do not require fully developed, so actually that it was neither a superb love story nor an appropriate biographical or historical film additionally it was somewhat boring. All in all, it isn't really a bad idea to see it just to admire traditional clothes, music and exquisite actresses however, if you are looking for something ambitious and also interesting, you might be disappointed.
